Following the severe flooding that impacted the Shopping Centre, Elements Restoration Australia was integral in defining the scope for critical restoration and mould remediation works. We conducted detailed assessments to determine the extent of water ingress and subsequent mould proliferation, identifying compromised materials and affected infrastructure throughout the facility. This input was vital in establishing the necessary cleaning, decontamination, drying, and eventual removal and reinstatement protocols, ensuring that all remediation efforts were targeted, compliant with relevant health and safety standards, and aligned with the centre’s specific requirements for managing its complex recovery process.

MUSEUM

Elements Restoration Australia was engaged following the flooding of a high-density storage facility containing irreplaceable museum collections. Drawing on our specialist expertise in environmental control, water damage recovery, mould risk management and collection preservation, we contributed to the initial mitigation and recovery planning and developed appropriate strategies for the stabilisation, drying and protection of affected artefacts.

Our technical approach focused on maintaining tightly controlled temperature, relative humidity and microbial conditions to minimise further deterioration, prevent mould proliferation and support the safe recovery of the collection. This required the careful integration of specialist dehumidification, air filtration, containment and collection-drying techniques within a complex operational environment.

HOSPITAL

Our client was a hospital facing widespread lead-dust contamination across the engineering departments of several annex buildings. Elements Restoration Australia partnered with an industrial hygienist to investigate the contamination, trace its spread through air-handling systems and assess the impact on sensitive engineering equipment. We then implemented a targeted remediation program tailored to the operational and safety requirements of a live healthcare environment. With the protection of hospital staff, contractors and our own personnel paramount, the project was delivered through strict exposure controls, carefully managed work practices and robust measures to prevent the migration of contaminants.
